WARNING: what is about to follow is A LOT of pictures (courtesy of Mark (mlwphotos), Sara and Jessica) and a lot of details on the trip. This is a LONG post of a short trip.
It was a 3-day ditty, consisting of Sara, Mark, Jessica and myself. Here is a map of our trip.

We set out to begin in New Jersey and head to Palmyra on Friday night, see the pageant and stay in Syracuse. After a serious ordeal at the car rental place, we headed out about 3:30pm and decided we were not going to make it in time for the pageant. So we reversed the trip and headed to Sharon, Vermont first.

We stayed Friday night in White River Junction, Vermont at a Holiday Inn Express (why I felt that was necessary to document, I don't know.) We got up Saturday morning and left by 8:30 am to head to Sharon, birthplace of Joseph Smith. We were the first ones there and got a quality tour and time with one of the Brethern there. The stories, details and information he gave won't be forgotten.

Then it was off to Palmyra for the pageant. It was about 6 hours from Sharon to Palmyra, so we got into town by about 6:00 pm; just in time to stake out good seats, brave the rain, eat dinner and take some pictures. As usual, the pageant was fantastic and we were approached by the Nephites about 14 times before the pageant started.

We drove to Syracuse after the pageant, stayed there Saturday night. We got up on Sunday, went to church in Syracuse, drove back to Palmyra and headed to the Sacred Grove and Hill Cumorah. We had a torrential downpour while at the Sacred Grove, which made it all the more special and memorable. Really it was a great time and probably my favorite part of the trip.

Then it was back to the city. But not without a stop to the Cracker Barrell for dinner. Pretty amazing, I must say.
Along the way there was: ice cream, fried dough, Red Bulls, video shoots, photo shoots, car treats (licorice, peanut butter M&M's, gummy bears, carrots), stories, singing, dancing, laughing, endless teasing and joking, and much, much more.

Thanks to S, M and J for a great time! *note: this is not even 1/4 of the pictures we have from the trip!
